Mid century chairs set by Werner Biermann for Arte Sano 1960s Colombia German-born designer Werner Biermann settled in Colombia in the 1930s & founded a furniture factory that brought European & Scandinavian styles to South America. These rare Colombian low seat armchairs circa 1970 by Biermann from the Collection'S "Artesano" (meaning "handmade") have a natural wood & thick leather frame on a thin metal frame stitched with beautiful cross stitches. general condition is original, firm, stable & good, consistent with age & use.
