1 of 4 Mid-Century Dorsal Office Chair by Emilio Ambas Giancarlo Piretti for Openark Italy 1980s Vintage Italian Mid-century office chair Dorsal, designed in 1980 by Emilio Ambas & Giancarlo Piretti for the Italian company Openark. The Argentine-Italian duo have been working together since the late 1970s and, in addition to the Dorsal armchair, created another ergonomic armchair called the Vertebra. Piretti is known for his collaboration with the Italian company Castelli. The frame of the chair is a combination of steel & plastic, the top half of the back is spring loaded & can be folded back. The chair is stackable & is in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. These chairs were manufactured in March 1984. Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear.
