There are contradictory statements here. The model was awarded in the International Design Yearbook of 1986, where Takashi Kato is named as the designer (see last picture). The MOMA New York design store has launched a reissue for the 40th anniversary in 2024. Nicolai Canetti himself is named as the designer. Canetti probably commissioned Kato at the time. The "Peacock" clock was also distributed by different brands, Canetti ARTime Collection (presumably USA), Neos, & ARTEC Collectors COllection (presumably Asia), in different color combinations. Here the black/white/red version. The base is made of solid steel, the stable can be adjusted in angle. Really cool Postmodern - Memphis era clock! For collectors - or your desk.
