Industrial design meets traditional craftsmanship. The „Danish Loft Bench" features a hand-welded steel frame, custom mahogany end caps & a hand-woven seat. The seat consists of a continuous Danish paper cord braided around L-shaped nails using a traditional craftsmanship method. For this purpose, mahogany strips are mounted below the steel frame. The frame of the bench is welded by hand, then blued (blackened) & oiled. The simple cross connections of the steel tubes are intended to emphasize both the traditional craftsmanship & the simplicity of the industrial design. The round wooden accents serve as end caps for the steel tubes on the one hand, & on the other hand they are intended to create a reference to the Danish design classics of the 50s & 60s. Adjustable rubber feet ensure a non-slip grip & can compensate for slight unevenness in the floor. The seat is handcrafted to order in Germany.
