IMPRESSIVE RITZ-ITALORA MILANO DESK CLOCK Very stunning clock by Felice Antonio Botta Firenze/Italy for Ritz-Italora. Like many of Botta's works at the time, also this clock is made of a solid acrylic glass block. Large & very heavy, it weighs almost 2 kg / 4.2lb. It is composed of three layers of acrylic & a mirror-like metal dial, creating an incredible variety of looks depending on the light & the angle from which the clock is viewed. Truly a statement on your desk! It dates from the late 1960s / early 1970s. Represents perfect the Space Age - Mid Century periods! in very good condition, works fine! For collectors or your desk. Very small signs from use, little dust inside the dial. The thick acrylic block has fine hairline fissures inside, which can only be seen from certain angles (picture 6&7). All in all impressive timepiece, look for detailed pictures please! The movement is in perfect working order & works silent! The left battery pin was replaced.
