Compatibility and Connectivity: The RDK X5 Socket is compatible with all variants of the RDK X5 Module, providing versatile support for different configurations. It includes a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port for high-speed network connectivity and multiple USB ports, including four USB 3.0 Host ports and one Micro USB 2.0 Device port. Expandable I/O and Control: The socket offers various connectors for expandability, such as a 40-pin GPIO header, a 10-pin function control I/O header for custom interfaces, and a Micro USB 2.0 UART debug port for debugging and development tasks. Display and Camera Interfaces: It supports a 15-pin MIPI DSI interface for connecting displays, as well as an HDMI port for external display output. For camera integration, the socket includes two MIPI CSI (4-lane) interfaces, enabling high-quality image capture. Storage and Real-Time Clock: The socket provides an onboard TF card slot for the RDK X5 MD Lite variant (without eMMC) for storage expansion, and includes an onboard RTC batt header for reliable timekeeping and scheduling. Power and Other Features: With a 5V 5A power input and additional connectors for a fan (supporting speed control and measurement), CAN interface, power switch, and PoE module, this socket is designed to meet the power and resource needs of industrial and embedded applications.
