Vintage 1950S Gustavsberg "Veckla" Vase Design Stig Lindberg Fine Pottery Mid-Century

Produktbeschreibung
If you think about Swedish ceramics & pottery, there is one guy that always has to be named. This guy is Stig Lindberg, one of the masters of nordic design. He worked at Gustavsberg for almost 50 years & worked alongside masters like Berndt Friberg & Wilhelm Kåge to put Gustavsberg Porslin on the map & guided the company into modernism. Lindbergs designs are creative, colorful & well crafted. A true artist & an icon of the scandimodern movement. The "veckla" series was first presented in 1952. Lindberg created a small series of organic bowls & vases in white Carrara porslin. It's absolutely beautiful & I looked at it for an hour today & I still haven't found anything wrong with the design. The bowl has signs of age. The matte finish makes it very prone for some discoloration. I think I've never seen a "mint" veckla piece. This is a vintage item.It has signs of usage, & patina.
