Vintage 1950S Stoneware Vase "Pungo" By Stig Lindberg For Gustavsberg Swedish Mid-Century in White Carrara Glaze

Produktbeschreibung
If you think about Swedish ceramics & pottery, there is one guy that always has to be named. This guy is Stig Lindberg, one of the masters of nordic design. He worked at Gustavsberg for almost 50 years & worked alongside masters like Berndt Friberg & Wilhelm Kåge to put Gustavsberg Porslin on the map & guided the company into modernism. Lindbergs designs are creative, colorful & well crafted. A true artist & an icon of the scandimodern movement. The "pungo" series was first presented in 1953. Lindberg created a small series of organic bowls in two colors, matte white & black carrara glaze. The organic & pleasant shape is typical for Lindbergs works in the 1950s. Beautiful pieces & hard to come by these days. The bowl has signs of age. But overall it's in nice condition with minor discoloration. This is a vintage item.It has signs of usage, & patina. Please see the images for the condition. They are part of the description! Feel free to ask for more or additional images.
